• Apel Bocs 'Sgidiau Nadolig / Christmas Shoebox Appeal

  Casglwyd 64 o focsys esgidiau ar gyfer Apêl Bocs 'Sgidiau Nadolig eleni. Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb am eu cyfraniadau hael. Bydd eich rhoddion yn gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr i nifer o unigolion yng ngwledydd mwyaf difreintiedig Ewrop.

   

  We collected 64 boxes for this year's Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Thank you very much to all those who donated so generously to the cause. Your generosity will make a huge difference to so many individuals in some of Europe's most deprived countries.  (27/10/17)  

  

• Disgos yr Hydref / Autumn Discos

  Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb am gefnogi ein disgos yr wythnos hon. Hoffwn ddiolch yn arbennig i aelodau 'Ffrindiau YGG Pontybrenin' a'r holl wirfoddolwyr, gan gynnwys y staff, am eu cymorth yn trefnu'r disgos o flaen llaw ac am eu cefnogaeth ar y nosweithiau. Codwyd cyfanswm arbennig o £1300! Ymlaen Pontybrenin!

   

  A big thank you to everyone for supporting our discos this week. In particular I would like to thank the members of 'The Friends of YGG Pontybrenin' and all the volunteers, including the staff, for all their support in organising the discos and for their help on both evenings. • Traws-gwlad / Cross-country

  Llongyfarchiadau i dîm traws-gwlad Blwyddyn 5&6 am eu hymdrechion yng nghystadleuaeth traws-gwlad ysgolion Abertawe ar gaeau'r Elba heddiw. Hyfryd oedd gweld cymaint o ddisbyblion yn rhedeg gan gwên ar eu gwynebau, er gwaethaf y tywydd diflas. Da iawn chi!

   

  Congratulations to our Year 5&6 cross-country team on their efforts at today's Swansea school's cross-country meet at the Elba Playing Fields. It was wonderful to see so many pupils running with a smile on their faces, despite the miserable weather. Da iawn chi!  (23/10/17)

  

• Perfformaid 'Taith yr Iaith' / 'Taith yr Iaith' performance

  Hyfryd oedd croesawu cwmni Mewn Cymeriad i'r ysgol heddiw i gyflwyno perfformiad o'r 'Iaith ar Daith' i ddisgyblion Blwyddyn 5 & 6. Dysgodd ein disgyblion cymaint am Ddeddf Uno 1536, William Morgan a'i gyfieithiad o'r Beibl, ymgyrchoedd Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg yn y 60au ayyb. Roedd hi'n agoriad llygad i bawb. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

   

  It was wonderful welcoming the education theatre company Mewn Cymeriad to school today to perform 'yr Iaith ar Daith' (the journey of the Welsh language) to Years 5 & 6. Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning about the 1536 Act of Union, William Morgan's translation of the Bible, the Welsh Language Society's campaigns of the 60s etc. It was a real eye-opener for everyone. Diolch yn fawr iawn!  (19/10/17)   

  

• Gwyl Hoci / Hockey Festival

  Llongyfarchiadau i'r Tim Hoci ar eu perfformiadau heddiw yng Ngŵyl Hoci Ysgolion Abertawe. Er gwaethaf canlyniadau cymysg, mwynheodd pawb y profiad a'r cyfle i gymdeithasu gyda disgyblion o ysgolion eraill.

   

  Congratulations to the Hockey Team for their performances at today's Swansea Schools Hockey Festival. Although we had a mixed bag of results, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and took advantage of the opportunity to meet pupils from other school.  (18/10/17)
