Meysydd Dysgu a Phrofiad
Areas of Learning and Experience
Bydd y cwricwlwm newydd yn cynnwys chwe 'Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad'. Nid yw hyn yn golygu bod pynciau traddodiadol yn diflannu, ond yn hytrach maent wedi'u cyfuno i gwmpasu pynciau a disgyblaethau sy'n bodoli eisoes, gyda'r bwriad o hyrwyddo cydweithio, datblygu a dylunio cwricwlwm ar lefel ysgol drawsddisgyblaethol.
The new curriculum will consist of six 'Areas of Learning and Experience'. This doesn't mean that traditional subjects are disappearing, but rather combined to encompass existing subjects and disciplines, and are intended to promote collaboration and cross-disciplinary school-level curriculum development and design.

The six Areas of Learning and Experience are:

- Y Celfyddydau Mynegiannol*: Yn ymgorffori celf, dawns, drama, cerddoriaeth a chyfryngau digidol. Mae'n annog creadigrwydd, meddwl beirniadol a pherfformiad.
- Expressive Arts*: Incorporates art, dance, drama, music and digital media. It encourages creativity, critical thinking and performance.
- Y Dyniaethau*: Yn ymgorffori daearyddiaeth, hanes, addysg grefyddol, astudiaethau busnes ac astudiaethau cymdeithasol. Bydd yn seiliedig ar brofiadau dynol a bydd hefyd yn cwmpasu diwylliant a hunaniaeth Cymru.
- Humanities*: Incorporates geography, history, religious education, business studies and social studies. It will be based on human experiences and will also cover Welsh culture and identity.
- Iechyd a Lles*: Yn ymgorffori agweddau corfforol, emosiynol a chymdeithasol ar fywyd. Bydd yn helpu disgyblion i wneud penderfyniadau gwybodus am eu hiechyd a'u lles a sut i reoli dylanwadau cymdeithasol.
- Health and Wellbeing*: Incorporates physical, emotional and social aspects of life. It will help pupils to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing and how to manage social influences.
- Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg*: Yn ymgorffori bioleg, cemeg, ffiseg, cyfrifiadureg a thechnoleg dylunio.
- Science and Technology*: Incorporates biology, chemistry, physics, computer science and design technology.
- Mathemateg a Rhifedd*: Yn ogystal â mathemateg, mae hyn yn cynnwys rhifedd sef cymhwyso mathemateg i ddatrys problemau yng nghyd-destunau'r byd go iawn.
- Mathematics and Numeracy*: As well as mathematics, this includes numeracy which is the application of maths to solve problems in real world contexts.
- Ieithoedd, Llythrennedd a Chyfathrebu*: Bydd hyn yn cynnwys iaith a llenyddiaeth Gymraeg a Saesneg yn ogystal ag ieithoedd rhyngwladol ac Iaith Arwyddion Prydeinig.
- Languages, Literacy and Communication*: This will include Welsh and English language and literature as well international languages and British Sign Language.
Bydd tri 'chyfrifoldeb trawsgwricwlaidd' hefyd - llythrennedd, rhifedd a chymhwysedd digidol, a fydd yn cael eu hymgorffori ym mhob un o feysydd y cwricwlwm.
There will also be three 'Cross-curriculuar responsibilities' - literacy, numeracy and digital competence, which will be embedded throughout all curriculum areas.
