Tablau / Times tables

Mae angen i'ch plentyn ddysgu eu tablau hyd at 12 x 12.  Mae'r plant yn defnyddio'u tablau yn ddyddiol o fewn y gwersi ac o fewn y gwersi CLIC.  Y ffordd orau i'w dysgu yw i adrodd y tablau yn defnyddio'r patrwm yma:

Gallwn wneud ymarferion ar y cyfrifiadur ar gemau fel 'Hit the Button', 'Topmarks maths games' a.y.b.

Your child needs to learn their times table up to 12x12.  The pupils use their tables daily within maths lessons and also within the CLIC lessons.  The best way to learn them is to chant them using the above pattern.  They can also play maths games online such as 'Hit the button', 'Topmarks maths games' etc.

Yn ystod hanner tymor cyntaf, tymor yr Hydref, bydd ein gwersi Mathemateg yn rhoi ffocws ar y system rhif: During the first half term of the Autumn term our Mathematics lessons will be focusing on the number system:

• Adio, tynnu, lluosi a rhannu / Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division

• Dysgu tablau 2, 5, 10, 3 a 4 / Learn times tables 2, 5, 10, 3 and 4      

• Ysgrifennu rhifau hyd at deg mil / Writing numbers up to ten thousand                                                                                                                                      

• Adio a thynnu 1, 10 a 100 at unrhyw rif / Adding and subtracting 1, 10 and 100 at any number

• Amcangyfrif i'r 10 a'r 100 agosaf / Estimating to the nearest 10 and 100                                                                                                                                                                                                  
• Cyfri ymlaen ac yn ol mewn camau sy'n ailadrodd / Count forwards and backwards in repetitive steps.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
•  Defnyddio arian i dalu am a chyfri newid hyd at £10 (Bl 3 hyd at £5) / Use money to pay for items and calculate change up to £10 ( Yr 3 up to £5)                                                         

• Adnabod rhifau negyddol mewn cyd-destun tymheredd / To recognise negative numbers in the context of temperature.

• Lluosi rhifau 2 digid gyda rhifau 1 digid / To multiply 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers.

• Defnyddio strategaethau meddwl i luosi a rhannu rhifau 2 ddigid â rhif 1 digid / Multiply and divide 2 digit numbers with a single digit number.

• Dechrau darganfod gweddill ar ôl rhannu / Use remainder after dividing.

Yn ystod yr ail hanner tymor, bydd ein gwersi Mathemateg yn rhoi ffocws ar: 

During the second half term our Mathematics lessons will be focusing on:

• Ymchwilio dilyniannau o rifau cyfan positif sy'n golygu adio a thynnu / Investigate number sequences of positive whole numbers relating to addition and subtraction.
• Ymestyn dealltwriaeth o luosi a rhannu, a'u perthynas a'i gilydd ac adio a thynnu / Develop understanding of multiplication and division with relation to addition and subtraction.
• Lluosi a rhannu rhifau gyda 10 a 100; deall yr effaith / Multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100.
• Defnyddio a deall dyblu a haneru gyda rhifau 2 ddigid / To double and halve a 2 digit number.
• Gwirio atebion drwy ddefnyddio gweithrediadau gwrthdro / Check answers by using inverse operation.
• Adnabod mae amryw o rannau sy'n creu rhif cyfan yw ffracsiynau / To understand that a number of fractions make a whole.
• Defnyddio nodiant ffracsiwn / To use fractional notation. 
• Darganfod ffracsiynau o siapau / To find fractions of shapes.
• Dewis gweithgareddau rhif a dulliau cyfrifo priodol i ddatrys problemau a fynegir mewn geiriau / To use correct and appropriate number systems to solve word problems.

Yn ystod tymor y Gwanwyn, bydd ein gwersi Mathemateg yn rhoi ffocws ar Siap, Gofod a Mesurau: 

During the Spring term our Mathematics lessons will be focusing on Shape, Space and Measure:

Gwahaniaethu rhwng symudiadau syth a symudiadau sy'n troi / To distinguish between straight and turning movements. 

Adnabod hanner troeon a chwarter troeon ac onglau sgwâr mewn troeon / Recognises half-turns and quarter-turns and right angles in turns. 

Dosbarthu siapiau mewn amryw o ffyrdd / To classify shapes in various ways.

Defnyddio unedau safonol ar gyfer hyd, cynhwysedd, màs ac amser / To use standard units of length, capacity, mass and time.

Adlewyrchu siapiau syml mewn llinell ddrych / To reflect simple shapes in a mirror line.

Defnyddio a dehongli gyfesurynnau yn y pedrant cyntaf / To use and interpret co-ordinates in the first quadrant.

Darganfod perimedr siapiau ac arwynebedd drwy gyfrif sgwariau / To find perimeters of shapes and areas by counting squares.
