Llongyfarchiadau i dîm gymnasteg yr ysgol ar eu llwyddiant anhygoel ym Mhencampwriaeth Gymnasteg Ysgolion Cymru heddiw yng Nghasnewydd. Er i’r safon fod yn eithriadol o uchel unwaith eto eleni, disgleiriodd ein disgyblion talentog ar y llwyfan cenedlaethol, gydag India, Carys, Poppy, Anais, Amelia ac Annest yn ennill aur yn y gystadleuaeth grŵp. Byddan nhw nawr yn mynd ymlaen i gynrychioli Cymru ym Mhencampwriaeth Ysgolion Prydain ym mis Mai. Llwyddodd yr ail grŵp, sef Amelia, Gwennan, Elvie, Savannah, Megan a Ffion gyrraedd y podiwm hefyd, gan ennill efydd yn yr un gystadleuaeth. Yn y gystadleuaeth parau, enillodd Carys ac Alis y fedal arian, gan golli allan o drwch blewyn ar aur mewn cystadleuaeth gystadleuol iawn. Mae'r ysgol yn browd iawn o'r merched i gyd a'u cyflawniadau ac mae eu llwyddiant yn dyst i'w gwaith caled a’u hymroddiad wrth baratoi ar gyfer y cystadlaethau hyn. Llongyfarchiadau unwaith eto a dymuniadau gorau ar gyfer Pencampwriaeth Prydain.
Congratulations to the school’s gymnastics team on their incredible success at today’s Welsh Schools Gymnastics Championships in Newport. Whilst the standard was exceptionally high once again this year, our incredibly talented pupils shone on the national stage, with India, Carys, Poppy, Anais, Amelia and Annest winning gold in the group competition. They will now go on to represent Wales at the British Schools Championships in May. The second group, comprising of Amelia, Gwennan, Elvie, Savannah, Megan and Ffion also made it on to the podium, winning bronze in the same competition. Not to be outdone, Carys and Alis won the silver medal in the pairs event, narrowly missing out on gold in a very competitive competition. The school is incredibly proud of all the girls and their achievements and their success is testimony to the hours of hard work and dedication they put into preparing for these events. Congratulations once again and best wishes for the British Championships. (21/2/25)
