📌 Beth yw ACRh? | What is RSE?

Mae ACRh yn rhan hanfodol o’r Cwricwlwm i Gymru ac yn helpu plant a phobl ifanc i ddeall perthnasoedd iach, hunaniaeth, consensws, a lles rhywiol. Mae’n seiliedig ar hawliau plant ac yn cael ei gyflwyno mewn ffordd sy’n briodol i oedran a datblygiad y dysgwyr.

English:
RSE is a vital part of the Curriculum for Wales. It helps children and young people understand healthy relationships, identity, consent, and sexual well-being. It is rights-based and delivered in a way that is developmentally appropriate for learners.

📘 Beth mae’r gyfraith yn ei ddweud? | What does the law say?

Cymraeg:
O dan Deddf Cwricwlwm ac Asesu (Cymru) 2021, mae ACRh yn orfodol i bob dysgwr 3–16 oed. Ni all rhieni optio allan. Mae’r Cod ACRh yn nodi’r dysgu gorfodol mewn tair prif thema:

• Perthnasoedd ac hunaniaeth
• Iechyd rhywiol a lles
• Grymuso, diogelwch a pharch

English:
Under the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Act 2021, RSE is mandatory for all learners aged 3–16. Parents cannot withdraw their children. The RSE Code outlines mandatory learning across three key strands:

• Relationships and identity
• Sexual health and well-being
• Empowerment, safety and respect

English:

• Schools must design an RSE curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.
• The curriculum must include a diversity of identities, relationships, and sexualities, including LGBTQ+ lives.
• RSE must be delivered in a safe, inclusive, and evidence-based environment.

Cymraeg:

• Gofyn am bolisi ACRh yr ysgol.
• Cymryd rhan mewn trafodaethau gyda staff am gynnwys y cwricwlwm.
• Cefnogi dysgu gartref trwy siarad am berthnasoedd iach a pharch.

English:

• Ask to see the school’s RSE policy.
• Engage in discussions with staff about curriculum content.
• Support learning at home by talking about healthy relationships and respect.
