Themau / Themes

Mae ein themau eleni wedi'u seilio ar lyfrau a nofelau Cymraeg a Saesneg.  Byddwn yn darllen y llyfrau yn yr ysgol ac yn astudio'r cyfnod neu thema yn y llyfr.

Our themes this year are based upon novels and books in Welsh and English.  We will read the books in class and will study the theme or time in which the nofel is based.

Thema 1 - Y 60au / The 1960's

Ein nofel ni yw 'Achub y Cwm'.  Mae'r nofel wedi ei osod yn y flwyddyn 1963 ac rhoi stori y digwyddiad pan geisiodd Abertawe foddi phentref Llangyndeyrn yng Nghwm Gwendraeth. Ynghyd a'r digwyddiad byddwn yn astudio nodweddion yr 1960au. / Our nofel is 'Achub y Cwm'.  The novel is set in 1963 and gives the story of the attempt by Swansea to drown a village called Llangyndeyrn in the Gwendraeth Valley.   Along with the event, we will be studying aspects of the 1960's. 

Thema 2 - Kensuke's Kingdom

Whilst reading this novel, we will be studying Asia and Japan.  We will look at the traditions and customs of Japan and learn about aspects of Asia.
