Ein Gweledigaeth / Our Vision

Ethos a Chenadwri

  • Mae Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Pontybrenin yn anelu at gynnig addysg o’r safon orau sy’n ceisio ateb anghenion yr unigolyn mewn awyrgylch cefnogol, hapus a hollol Gymreig. Anogir pob disgybl i ddatblygu hunan barch ac agweddau cadarnhaol a chyfrifol at fywyd yn gyffredinol. Mae ethos gwaith cadarn yn yr ysgol a’r nod yw ysgogi pob disgybl i gyrraedd y safonau uchaf bob amser.

  • Mae ethos Cymreig yr ysgol yn adlewyrchu etifeddiaeth foesol, ysbrydol a diwylliannol Cymru ac yn creu fframwaith ar gyfer bywyd, gwaith a chenadwri’r ysgol.

  • Selir yr ethos hwn ar werthoedd Cristnogol anenwadol sy’n ganllaw gadarn ar gyfer bywyd bob dydd yr ysgol.

  • Dylai pob sefydliad sy’n ymwneud â phlant bob amser wneud yr hyn sydd orau i bob plentyn [Erthygl  3 o Gonfensiwn y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Hawliau'r Plant]

     

    Amcanion Penodol

  • Rhoi cyfle i bob disgybl ddatblygu hyd eithaf ei [g]allu yn academaidd, yn gymdeithasol, yn ddiwylliannol ac yn gorfforol.

  • Rhoi cyfle i bob disgybl feistroli’r grefft o gyfathrebu yn y Gymraeg yn arbennig fel cyfrwng dysgu.

  • Annog pob disgybl i gyfrannu’n llawn yn ôl ei [d]doniau i gymuned yr ysgol ac i’r gymuned ehangach, yn lleol a chenedlaethol.

  • Cynnig yr un cyfle i bawb heb wahaniaethu ar sail gallu, rhyw, hil na chrefydd

 

 

Ethos & Mission

  • Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Pontybrenin aims to offer the best standards in education which attempt to answer the needs of the individual in a supportive, happy and fully Welsh atmosphere.  Every pupil is encouraged to develop self-respect as well as positive and responsible attitudes towards life in general.  There is a strong work ethos in the school and the goal is to motivate every pupil to achieve the highest standards at all times.
  • The Welsh ethos in the school reflects the moral, spiritual and cultural inheritance of Wales and creates a framework for the life, work and mission of the school.
  • This ethos is based on nondenominational Christian values which represent strong guidelines for the everyday life of the school.
  • Every organisation which deals with children should at all times do their utmost to do their best for each child [Article 3 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child] 

 

Specific Objectives

  • To give every pupil the opportunity to develop to the best of his/her ability academically, socially, culturally and physically.
  • To give every pupil the opportunity to master the skill of communicating in Welsh especially as a medium of learning.
  • To encourage every pupil to contribute fully, according to his/her abilities, to the school community and the wider community, both locally and nationally.
  • Offer everyone equal opportunity without discrimination on the grounds of ability, sex, race or religion.
