Understanding more complex instructions

Beth i'w wneud
• Gellir rhoi cyfarwyddiadau lefel tri gair yn ystod unrhyw a phob gweithgaredd dyddiol, fel y bydd cyfleoedd dysgu ac addysgu ar gael trwy gydol y dydd
• Casglwch y canlynol:
- Dol, tedi (neu gymeriad).

- Tywel, brwsh gwallt.
• Chwaraewch gyda’ch gilydd gan ddefnyddio’r eitemau i ‘olchi’ a ‘brwsio’ rhannau corff y ddol/tedis.
• Anogwch y plentyn i wrando ac yna rhowch gyfarwyddyd gan ddefnyddio tri gair allweddol:
- ‘Golchwch draed tedi.’

- ‘Brwsiwch wallt dol.’
- ‘Brwsiwch law dol.’

Ceisiwch gofio peidio ag edrych ar, pwyntio at neu roi unrhyw gliwiau gweledol.

• Os nad yw’r plentyn yn gwneud pethau’n iawn, cydnabyddwch yr hyn y mae wedi’i reoli, ailadrodd y cyfarwyddyd ac yna anogwch/tywys y plentyn tuag at y teganau cywir. Ailadroddwch y cyfarwyddyd wrth i chi arwain neu mae'r plentyn yn eich copïo.

What to do
• Three-word level instructions can be given during any and all daily activities.
In this way teaching and learning opportunities are available throughout the day.
• Gather together the following:
- Doll, teddy (or alternative toy character).

- Flannel, hair brush.
• Play together using the items to ‘wash’ and ‘brush’ doll/teddy’s body parts.
• Encourage the child to listen and then give an instruction using three key words:
- ‘Wash teddy’s feet.’

- ‘Brush doll’s hair.’
- ‘Brush doll’s hand.’
 Try to remember not to look at, point to or give any visual clues.
• If the child doesn’t quite get it right, acknowledge what he/she has managed, repeat the instruction and then gently prompt/guide the child towards the correct toys. Repeat the instruction as you guide or the child copies you.
