Ar ol misoedd o waith caled ac ymroddiad gan ddisgyblion a staff, hyfryd oedd blasu cymaint o lwyddiant yn Eisteddfod Rhanbarthol yr Urdd ym Mhort Talbot heddiw. Hoffwn fanteisio ar y cyfle hwn i ddiolch i bob un o'r disgyblion am berfformiadau mor arbennig heddiw. Carwn ddiolch hefyd i'r staff sydd wedi rhoi mor hael o'u hamser dros y misoedd diwethaf i baratoi y plant hynny. Mae pob un ohonyn nhw yn haeddu pob canmoliaeth. Edrychwn ymlaen yn awr at Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd yn Llanelwedd ym mis Mai - Ymlaen YGG Pontybrenin!
Months of hard work and application on the part of both pupils and staff paid dividends today with a very successful Urdd Regional Eisteddfod in Port Talbot. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every one of our pupils who gave great performances and are a credit to our school and to their parents. I'd also like to thank all the staff who have given so freely of their time of the past few months in preparing our pupils. They deserve all the success in the world. A brief summary of the results featuring YGG Pontybrenin:
- Year 3&4 Individual Recitation - Grace Humphreys - 1st
- Choir - 3rd
- Year 5&6 Individual Recitation - Anna Sartori - 2nd
- Unison Party - 1st
- Two-part Party - 2nd
- Recitation Group - 1st
